Lessons learned

This week I had the opportunity to interview a famous entrepreneur, his name...... Carlos Wizard Martins, we had the opportunity to serve a mission together he is in Forbes Brazil ranked with the most rich people in our country, Brazil.

I had the opportunity to serve a mission with him and after the opportunity to work with him.Today I would like to share somethings I learned from him, actually I learn many things from him during my mission and after during my professional life. Here are some teachings from him to me. Business are business and church is church; sometimes people thing they have the right to receive some advantage just because you and I, are from the same church, and this is wrong, for your business succeed you have to work with the bests and sometimes It doesn´t mean they are church members, Unfortunately.

In business not always the smarter wins but who arrives first. We have to be innovative and if you fell a market tendency, you have to start doing, making or produce it immediately.

Lead, follow or get out the way; The first time I heard that, it shocked me, but after time I learned that in an organization, when a decision is made you have to lead or follow or get out the way, you just have these three options. What position you want be?

The most important lesson is: Pay your tithes and be VERY generous in your offers.

These advises have helped me until now, I have a blessing to love what I do, I run my own business since 2003, for sure we face difficulties, but as we learned in the book The hero´s journey, we have to face our Dragon, if we don´t do it, we will die sooner than we wonder.

U$ 100,00 Challenge, WEEK ONE

Last week I wrote about the project we would start and today I will report how was it. We start to offer our services, ( when I say our is because its me and my wife, she is the person who "knows the things", I am the person who "manage and sell" ) and we have some clients this week, with a considerable profit. In every business my hint is always have someone who "knows the things" and other who "sell the things" it is possible to have both in a single person, but to execute both functions is very difficult, so in our case we decided to separate the functions. we both have to know about products and how to sell it but each one execute one specific function.           This week I read about how important is the name of your company, and how the entrepreneurs let to choose the name of his or her company as the last part of the process. We worried about the business plan, budget, partnerships, clients among many others and we le...
