This week I read and watched about Randy Pausch's Last Lecture, and was a very good experience for
me, I could remember my childhood dreams and realize that I have accomplished
some of them. One of my dreams was to eat chocolate wherever I wanted…after 25
years…..CHECKED!!!
In Randy Pausch´s Last Lecture, he talks about his childhood dreams and
how he achieves some of them and why is important to have our dreams. I liked
when he explained about the brick wall. When we follow our dreams will always
have a brick wall to stop us, just to see how badly we want to see that dream
come true.
Randy could achieve many of his dreams because he had some qualities,
such as, discipline, persistence and a very good mood. He could recognize that
our life is an experience and we always learn something or develop important characteristics
while following our dreams.
To have dreams is one of the most important qualities of an
entrepreneur, this make me move forward. Without dreams we don´t have future,
some one once said "every dream left behind is a piece of the future that no longer
exists."
One of my childhood
dream was to participate as an athlete in the Olympic Games, so I started judo
classes and I did a good job, but I realize that I could never go to the Olympic
games, because all the competitions were on Sundays, and for me Sunday is
sacred, is the Lord day, early in life I promised that I would keep the Lord´s
day. Judo taught me many, many qualities that helped me to achieve another
bigger dreams, It taught me discipline, individual responsibility, to be
humble, and to control the situation even when you are in disadvantage.
This week I learned a
lot from my University, I am inspired to keep forward with my goals. I finally
finished my bucket list, have you ever done that? if you never wrote your
bucket list. do it!!!! What are the 50 things you would like to do before
"kick the bucket"?
