This week I learned a little more about marketing, and its demands, but there were two thinks that caught my attention: The first thing was some lessons that I learned from Phil Romano, here are some lessons that I learned from him:
“Don´t be like everybody else”
“Actions speak louder than words”
“I like to create things”
“Servicing a need is what prompts a good
business”
“Never think about making profits, think about
service, giving the people what they want, and you will make twice as much
profit”
“Fear is a great motivator”
Now the other lesson that caught my attention was: "Marketing is the whole business seen from the customer's point of view."
–Peter Drucker
This is what really matters when you want to sell your product and service. What matter most is the client needs and expectations, but what are the clients needs? we can categorized it in five needs:
- Stated needs: what customers say they want; for example, "I need a sealant for my window panes for the winter."
- Real needs: what customers actually require; for example, a house that is better insulated and therefore warmer during the winter.
- Unstated needs: requirements that customers don't happen to mention; for example, an easy solution to insulating the house.
- Delight needs: the desire for luxuries, as compared to real needs.
- Secret needs: needs that customers feel reluctant to admit; for example, some people may have a strong need for social status but feel uncomfortable about admitting that status is important to them.
Having a marketing orientation helps you determine what type of need is driving a customer's demand.
This week we had another "low week" we did just two procedures again, but the interesting thing was that we didn´t need to look for clients, this new clients were indications from our actual clients, so this is good we feel that the people approved the procedures.
Lets to the numbers:
2 procedures: R$ 240,00
cost of two procedures: R$ 80,00
Profit: R$ 160,00 (U$ 44,00)
ACCUMULATED PROFIT: U$ 92 + U$ 36,40 + U$ 44,00 = U$ 172,40
ACCUMULATED PROFIT: U$ 92 + U$ 36,40 + U$ 44,00 = U$ 172,40
